Alliance Action Team | Volunteer Application & Guidelines Agreement

The Alliance Action Team Purpose: Our desire is to meet the needs of those in the Fox Cities through a collaboration with Alliance’s Community Care. Our hope is that through practical service, people in the community are drawn deeper into a relationship with Christ.

This is an exciting opportunity to serve the Fox Cities, but it is also important that our Action Team volunteers recognize that they are perceived as representatives of Alliance Church when serving. Volunteers must complete a background check*.

As a part of the Alliance Action Team, you will be expected to follow these guidelines:
- At least 2 volunteers must be present at a service project. 
- Volunteers cannot travel alone in a vehicle with the person receiving care. 
- Volunteers should abstain from exchanging personal information with the care recipient of the opposite gender (number, social media). 
- If there is a request for financial assistance, the process should go through Alliance’s Community Care Coordinator. 
- Volunteers should abstain from solicitation of any and all business opportunities with the community care recipient. 
- Before inviting others to help on any upcoming project, please note they must have a background check completed prior to serving.

Sometimes we get requests for help that are short notice (needs that require resolution within several days). Would your schedule allow you to support some of these needs?

ie. HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, painting etc.

ie. Specialty tools, trailers, vehicles, etc.

By checking the box, you are agreeing to the Alliance Action Team Guidelines listed above and giving permission for Alliance to run a background check. We partner with an independent company, Ministry Defender Solutions, for processing the background check. You will receive an email from MDS directly with the subject title of "Background Check Request for Appleton Alliance Church". Please contact us if you have any questions.

*Having a concern on your background check does not automatically disqualify you from serving as a volunteer At Alliance. If you would like to talk about anything in your background check, please contact Pastor Paul Behnke at pbehnke@aac.church.
